About the event
For the 3rd year in a row, Worcester is bringing attention to the dire public health statistics facing Black birthing mothers, who have 3-4x the rate of preventable death and severe complications during childbirth, more than any other racial/ethnic group in the USA. April 11th - 17this Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW), which is an annual week of national and international awareness-raising, education, activism, empowerment, and community building that centers the voices of Black mothers! This year's theme is Joy & Justice!
Founded by the Black Mamas Alliance, BMHW raises awareness, inspires activism, and strengthens organizing around Black maternal health and coincides with National Minority Health Month and the International Day for Maternal Health and Rights.
🎟️ Tickets will be $20 at the door.
✅ Doors open for registration at 6:30pm.
🪩 Class starts at 7:00pm.
